In continuation of the previous post , where I showed how to print PDF patterns. This second part will show you how to assemble the A4 (or US Letter) paper tiles into your full scale pattern. The assembly method employed in SewExplicit Patterns might be slightly different from what you may be used to. So if you are planning to use our sewing patterns, the steps below are what you will follow to assemble your sewing pattern.

Happy new month! In today's post I will show how to print and assemble PDF patterns from SewExplicit Patterns. Note that our PDF patterns are not "how-to-draft" illustrations but life-size patterns ready to be used to cut out your fabrics. Our PDF sewing patterns are set in A4 paper (or US Letter paper)tiles so that you can easily print at home or in your office with a regular printer. After printing in tiles, you will have to assemble the A4 ( or US Letter) tiles by pasting together to form your life-size pattern. 

Deciding what Size of Sewing Pattern to Choose

How do you decide what size of our pattern to sew? The pattern comes with a body measurement chart which you can use to decide. The most important deciding factor is usually the bust. So select a size closest to your bust measurement. This is because the bust-armhole region is always the most difficult area to alter so you don’t want to mess with that. You can easily alter the waist and hip lines. The type of pattern will also influence how you decide, each pattern also comes with the approximate finished dimensions so you have an idea of how much ease has been included. Presenting EBUN- A Sewing Pattern

Today's post is featuring the third pattern of our new pattern releases. Ebun  is a simple but versatile kimono semi-fitted top featuring a rounded hem with dips on the centre front and centre back. The neckline, sleeve hem and hemline are finished using bias–facing techniques discussed here and here . It is an easy and quick sewing pattern. A wide variety of  fabric could be used ranging from chiffon to African wax print. Below are pictures
