See The Gorgeous Makes From Black History Month

At the beginning of last month (February), I talked about #BHMDesignerChallenge on Instagram and how I hoped to see entries use my sewing patterns. The challenge has come and gone and here are the lovely makes of SewExplicit Patterns from sewists of Instagram. There are also a couple reviews I am going to.

The first is from Kiera of @islansewcialist, I had shared this before here. Her make of the Aria sewing pattern spurred many to use this same pattern for their entries as you will in this blog post.

Second is Crystal, who made the Daisy shirt pattern into a dress and gave her review on her youtube channel. I also shared her make and review in a previous blog post.

Third is @sonikkisews, who also made an Aria top in electric blue. I previously shared this as well but here it goes again!
also, see how she styled the top in another post she made when some people got confused if the look above is one-piece or two-piece.

Fourth is Myra Lorraine, who made not only but two of the Aria top. She made the patterns her own by hacking the first with shirring details and the second into a flounced dress. She also gave reviews of the Aria top alongside other makes of hers in the two Youtube videos below.

Fifth is @scappycrafter, who decided on the no-fuss, easy-to-make Ebun pattern. See her thoughts in her Instagram post below.

Sixth is @distracted.maker who also made the Aria top in purple. Also, view her thoughts from her post on Instagram.

Seventh is @radically.different who also used the Aria top in a nicely draping knit fabric.

the last but definitely not the least challenge entrant that choose SewExplicit was @lostmythread. She made the Ekinni cowl neck, bias-cut dress in a beautiful fabric. She shared several pictures plus a twirl video of her make and her thoughts about it in her Instagram post below.

I am grateful to the sewing challenge creator, host, ambassadors, and everyone who followed me (on Instagram and here) and supported me by buying my sewing patterns during the Black History month designer's challenge.

If you have purchased any of my patterns, I would love to see your makes. Please do leave a review, share your make and tag me on Instagram @sewexplicit. You can buy my sewing Patterns on Etsy and on Makerist.

Watch out in the coming months for new sewing patterns from SewExplicit and in extend sizing and multiple cup options. May God help me!
